We really did go caroling up until I was a young adult.
The last time I went caroling, about 1972, a homeowner shouted at us to get the "f" away.
I'm sure we transitioned quickly into a chorus of
"Jesus Loves You"....
"Jesus Loves You"....
We've had beautiful weather this week.

Street Light Could Be Replaced
About a week ago I was standing at the front door looking out while talking on the phone. As I stood there at twilight, I saw a street light go dark.
I wondered aloud to the person on the other end of the line how long before the light would be replaced. Since I'd never watched a street light actually go out before, I wasn't anticipating seeing when it was replaced. However, yesterday I was out and happened to see the replacement happening. It did cause me to think of the why "government" costs so much. This is one light only, and it required 3 employees; two directing traffic and one to actually change the light. It also requires a truck with special equipment; safety clothing and hard hats, specialized insurance coverage, probably for both vehicle and employees due to the nature of where they are the vehicle are....and on and on and on. One light change probably ultimately costs several hundred dollars, but boy do I like my street lights to be on at night.
Off to do fun things today which I'll post about tomorrow.
This is definitely autobiographical
