The election is over. YAY RAH RAH! I will not miss the man with the Eastern European accent who came to America to seek his fortune and apparently did so BIG TIME and then chose to spend it all on political commercials in the past several weeks.
Blogging rewards:
Committing to adding something daily to this blog provides me much needed discipline. I find it difficult to stick with a daily spiritual practice, but am discovering that in coming up with something for the blog, small though it might be, I end up listening to music, reading poetry, feel-good articles, things that makes me smile or laugh and looking at or taking photos of beautiful places, people and nature. In doing so, it has become a way to feed myself spiritually with color, beauty, comfort, humor, wisdom and a place to express those. And I receive all those gifts in a way that is fun, not laborious. Isn't that how it should be?
I love the architecture in the neighborhood; the well-kept or reclaimed vintage homes, the old business' now restaurants...the state buildings (not so pretty) and lofts in the back ground.
There aren't many flowers left in the yard, but the the ones still blooming are colorful and lovely.
I can see these from my TV watching chair.
