I Know It's Friday Because Yesterday was Thursday

That's another thing about retirement; calendars and clocks have far less meaning.

More photos from walk to downtown earlier in the week.

Going downtown involves a walk through a bit of capital park.

The pink shrub on the right is covered with the flowers shown here.

New crop of oranges will be ripe in January.

It's difficult to capture the beauty of trees.

Reflections from park on the California Department of Education windows.

The squirrels in the park have no fear of humans.  I kept getting closer and closer and the "park rat" just kept eating.

N and 15th Streets - Friend, Sara lives in the building on the left.  Until recently she had a wonderful garden window that looked out at this scene and her cat, Charlee loved sleeping there in the sun.  The gardens windows were all removed to return the building to it's vintage state.

Walking up 15th Street to home.

  1. Sacramento is such a beautiful city and you capture "her" essence so well! The photos are crisp, colorful, vibrant--VERY alive. Each new post screams, "I love this city."

  2. I do love Sacramento. Thanks for reminding me. And compliments, like presents are always welcomed. Thank you for those, too.
